Has anyone driven a touring with AND without the sport pkg? I'm planning to get a rdster when they come out and am torn...my tendency is to get top of the line, but this is going to be my everyday car and it needs to also have a wife-friendly ride for longer trips, 4hrs to beach, 2hrs to mountains, occasional drive back home 12hrs...etc. I've read in more than a couple of the articles out there that unless I plan on visits to the track to stay away from the sprt pkg...which is fine I guess, but why is that...is it just because of diff btwn 18s and 19s? I'm sure the upgraded suspension contributes as well, right? The other factor is that the larger RAYS wheels look way better than the "been there, done that" 5 spokers. Sorry for stuffing so many questions here but am also concerned about the road howl the 19s are apparently notorious for...are the 18s any better? Do we know if the Roadster will have the front chin spoiler or rear deck spoiler? Thanks.

You can't go wrong with the sport package. How is having better braking power a bad thing? That's actually safer for the wifey. I believe that the suspension is the same no? Yes, it does come with the larger 19" wheels but I hardly see how one measly inch would equate to a somehow harsher ride that anyone outside of a professional race car driver will "feel". I mean it's not like you're rolling on 22's on a bumpy road. I think the syling is better as far as the little spoiler on the back and the front lip. It's not screaming "hey look at me, I can take flight" or anything like that.

I would lean heavily on the sport package for the brakes alone.
