I currently have a 2007 350z with a Pioneer Avic Z2 head unit. I love it but my Z was broken into while I was on leave from Iraq in Feb. They smashed up my dash, but were unable to get the head unit out. I will be getting the 370Z when I get back and can't decide weather I should go with the Bose audio and the Nav unit, or basic audio and swap out the stock head unit for my current Avic Z2. In the pictures that I can see on the net the Nissan Nav looks kinda grainy.

So if any of you have any experiences or suggestions toss them my way please.

Steve

Sorry about your 350 getting thrashed.

I am not absolutly sure but I think the head unit may be on the CANBUS.  In that case its better to go OEM.  Usualy in my opinion, unless you are into audio or ICE as a hobby, its better to stick with OEM installations.

Not to worry my friend, I have the touring with navigation and it  is a  beautiful unit with a very sharp screen.

I'd probably go with the built in, unless you're really into tweaking it yourself.  They had Bose tune it for the specific cabin and I'm sure they have the expertise and experience to do it better than most of us could.

Unless that's all just some BS marketing hype they stuck in the brochure because they ran out of stuff to talk about.

I absolutely love my nav unit!  The manual leaves a little to be desired but I love it anyway.  It will take some gettting use to but i recommend the OEM nav unit.  Thanks for Serving and Protecting!!

You're probably better off going with the OEM nav unit. One thing of note is that you don't have to give up both the Bose & the stock nav unit. I myself went with the touring package but without the nav. So I have the Bose and I just hardwired my own nav unit in. Just throwing out a cost saving option to you.
