So the other day, I finally decided to ORDER my first Z.  What's funny is, I spent weeks looking for the exact one I wanted but no dealership had it.  I'm pretty sure my Z will be the only one of its kind California (at least for a while)...I cannot wait for this car to arrive, I'm very excited to be in the Z community now! 

When I ordered the car I asked if they could install a factory oil cooler....all I got was a "we'll see what we can do".  So, Technosquare, you may have a new customer coming your way.  Now all I have to do is play the waiting game...about a 3 month waiting game, but there's a little something called delayed gratification that will make it all the better.

I found it quite odd that I couldn't find this car in the entire state of California...

It's odd, you here how the car is not selling and how Nissan cut production by 66% then you read of all these threads about people not being able to get their car or how no dealer in their area can even get a Z.

Is the problem the economy or Nissan?

I think it's just the economy for the most part. That AND specifics on what people are looking for. I ran an inventory search on every Nissan dealership within 100 miles of my zip code and most of them have at least 3 in stock. Maybe not the exact model/color/options that you want but the stock is definitely there.

I know what you mean. I just bought my first Z. I live in MN and I am flying to FL to get the one I wanted. I had a hard time finding a black, base, manual, with sport pac.
