Had my new Z for 8 days an already have a tiny chip in the paint  (magnetic black) on the hood.  Is there any why to touch it up, like touch-up paint from Nissan?  I'm looking into proffesionally installing a 3M clear bra on the front end. To bad I only found out about the 3M stuff today.  I read and heard it's a great product if installed correctly.  I orderd a vinyl bra, but did'nt like it so I'm sending it back.

You can use a toothpick and carefuly touch up the chip, let it dry and reapply until the chip is level with the surrounding paint.  Then you can color sand and buff it out and you will hardly see the chip anymore.

Clear bra is great, I use it on all of my cars, including my race cars.  Really helps keep things looking good.

Yea..Nissan made a great car but their paint is very soft! It gets nicks easily, same as scratches. I have a few white scratches on my black one. Bought some touchup pain from Nissan, but if you don't know how to do it...with experience, it wont be perfect but will still look better! Or just ask Nissan to do it for you!

I agree with the above
OR if your going to get the bra professionally installed why not ask THEM to do it before they apply the bra
They will already have the car and probably will only charge 50-100 to do it and have it done right...

The prob with the black is it shows EVERYTHING

Just another thought, I don't know how sure handed you are...
Good luck

I had really good luck on my Vette with DrColor paint chip repair.I got my first chip on my new Silver Z and was planning to order some more til I went in for the free oil change and left with a new red one. I've already ordered some for it so I'll be ready when I get the first one on it.The really basiic kit had plenty for an individual to keep around.Good luck.
