Anybody buy and install the illuminated kick plates after the car was purchased? If so, how do you like them, even if they came already installed on your car? I'm wondering if the power supply wire for the lighting is right there when you take off the old plates. I was going to order them from the dealer. The stock ones look a little lame compared with the rest of the car.

The wiring harness connection is located on the passenger side near the underside of the glove compartment. Both wiring harnesses need to run to that central connection location. The illluminated kick plate kit comes with a long harness (driver side) and a short harness (passenger side) and all the parts required (tie wraps, clips, foam tape, etc.). The installation instructions indicated a nylon removal tool is required but a large screw driver works if done correctly to prevent scratching. Kick plate and side panels need to be removed to route the wiring harnesses. Enjoy the installation. It's not hard to do.
